Our mission is to welcome new students into the Texas State community by teaching them about university pride and traditions, building connections with their peers and the campus community, and helping them to develop confidence in their transition to Texas State University.

Goals of Cat Camp
- Create an experience that allows students to develop as sense of belonging to the university through connection with one another, faculty, staff, and other members of the Texas State community, and;
- Provide relevant information about university traditions, resources, services, and involvement opportunities that allow students to feel confident throughout their transition into university life.
Program Outcomes
Cat Camp will:
- Provide opportunities for students to build connections with their peers, faculty and staff by engaging in shared experiences.
- Provide the foundation for students to develop a sense of confidence in their transition into Texas State University.
- Host activities that allow for students to gain knowledge of Texas State and its traditions.
- Reinforce the shared and community values within Texas State University.
